The Trust is working together with the federal Ecological Gifts Program and others to create an information package specifically designed to assist owners of private parcels in the corridor in determining whether, in their particular circumstances, they wish to extend grant conservation covenant in all or part of their lands in exchange for a measure of relief from both federal and provincial income taxes. The Trust anticipates holding an information night for interested property owners on conservation covenants and tax relief this summer, 2026. Stay tuned!
